Mods

Mods are addons to World of Warcraft that augment the normal interface.

Members are Apocalypse are expected to have certain mods installed on their systems.

CT_RaidAssist -- raid control software: notifications, tank assist buttons, etc.
Decursive -- required for druids, paladins, priests, and mages.
GroupCalendar -- raid scheduling and signup. See Group Calendar setup, or ask the channel for help.

For Hunters:

Targeting Mod -- This mod allows the raid leader to automate target selection for when there are multiple targets for the tanks.

Ventrilo is the chat program we currently use. See the vent guide in our forums for more information.

For those that are not 100% sure about how to install the above mods, here's a quick guide.

Download the file!
The file you have just downloaded usually comes in a zip format. Open it up with Winzip, Rar, archive manager, etc - whatever decompression program you have.
In your decompression program, find the mod you have just opened. It is a whole folder. For example, if you downloaded CT_RaidAssist, there should be a folder named CT_RaidAssist.
Next open the directory that you installed World of Warcraft to. In this directory there is an Interface folder, open it. Within the interface directory, there is a directory called Addons, open this folder up as well.
Copy/drag the mod from the decompression program to your Addons directory.
You are done! Note: All UI interface changes require a restart of World of Warcraft.
